The Twitchers Museum Adventure

In February half-term 2024, we invited families to join our free museum nature trail, The Twitchers Museum Adventure, with Walker Books.

The egg-citing national trail for families celebrated the release of Feather, the latest book in the Twitchers Series from bestselling children’s author, M. G. Leonard.

Over 50 museums across the UK took part from 10 to 25 February 2024.

Families could join birdwatching detectives the Twitchers and explore the beautiful birds and amazing animals in their local museum by picking up a free activity sheet. They were challenged to find all the feathered friends hidden in the collection and make their own pledge to protect wildlife. Complete the trail and they would get a free Twitchers sticker!

Competition

We also offered participants the chance to take part in our caw-some national prize draw competition to win one of five bundles of all four books in The Twitchers series. To enter, families had to share their design of a bird or animal sidekick on Twitter/X or Instagram with the hashtag #TwitchersMuseumAdventure and tag @kidsinmuseums between 10 and 25 February 2024.
