The County Museum of History and Archaeology Maramureș welcomes visitors of all ages to learn mroe about local history in our 8 permanent exhbitions, spanning from the pre-historic culture of Suciu de Sus with its unique pottery to the history of mining and schools in Communist Romania. over the year, our museum education department, “Muzeul Viu”, offers various heritage-related activities to be enjoyed by groups of pupils on a field day or by families wanting to spend quality time together!
