Following a competitive selection process open to 18-25 year olds, we have appointed two new Young Trustees to our Kids in Museums Board. They are:

  • Yasmin Ibison, Founder and Director of Critics Club
  • Niamh Kelly, Project Assistant & Youth Ambassador at Reimagine, Remake, Replay.

Kids in Museums appointed its first Young Trustees in October 2018 to represent young people’s views at the highest strategic level, provide a fresh perspective on our programmes and offer career development opportunities for young people.

Niamh and Yasmin join a Board of 11 other trustees, who lend their expertise to govern and shape the future direction of the charity. The new trustees will receive governance training and will be paired with an existing Board member, who will provide support and advice.

Emmajane Avery, Chair of Kids in Museums, said: “A very warm welcome to Niamh and Yasmin. Both of our new Trustees come with an impressive range of experience in engaging young people with heritage. We can’t wait to hear their views, learn from their insights and support them in the next steps of their careers.”
