The Eerie-on-Sea Monster Museum Tour
From October 2023, we invited families to search for strange creatures and spooky spectres in our national Eerie-on-Sea Monster Museum Tour with Walker Books.
To celebrate the release of the fifth and latest children’s book in the Eerie-on-Sea Mysteries series, Mermedusa by Thomas Taylor, we joined forces with Walker Books to create a fun, free museum trail for families!
We challenged families to spot all the monsters of the mysterious seaside town of Eerie-on-Sea at their local museum. Complete the trail and they would get a free Eerie-on-Sea bookmark and sticker!
Just over 50 museums across the UK took part between 16 October and 5 November 2023.
We offered families a chance to win a book bundle of all five books in the Eerie-on-Sea Mysteries series in our national grand prize draw competition. To enter, families had to share their mythical monster drawing from the activity sheet on Twitter/X or Instagram including the hashtag #EerieMonsterMuseumTour and tagging us @kidsinmuseums.
