3. Celebrate VE Day with Bletchley Park [ENDED]

Friday 8 May is the 75th anniversary of ‘Victory in Europe Day’, a national holiday marking the end of the war in Europe. Bletchley Park is celebrating by asking people to create 1,945 metres of red, white and blue bunting. Download your #BuntingForBletchley template and how to guide.

On the day itself, Bletchley Park will be sharing a digital ‘Nation’s Toast’ at 3pm, with a special recording of a VE Day speech by Sir Winston Churchill.

While their museums are closed, National Museums Liverpool is inviting children aged four to 11 years old to design their own gallery or exhibition. Take part in the My Home My Museum project and you could win a special prize. Find out more.

9. Make your choice with Hull Maritime Museum [ENDED]

Hull Maritime Museum is inviting primary school pupils to choose 14 objects to go on display at the museum once it reopens. In the People’s Choice Competition, pupils in years 4-6 will be asked to select their favourite object from the shortlist and write a label about it. The label could be a poem, prose or drawing, based on fact or fiction! The winners will also receive prizes for themselves and for their school. Find out more.
