We are working with Walker Books to celebrate the release of the new Where’s Wally? book, Double Trouble at the Museum, and encourage families to visit their local museum during the October half term.
Families can join in the search for Wally at 50 museums across the UK. Each museum will host its own search for Wally between 12 October to 3 November. Can you find Wally hidden amongst their amazing artefacts and exciting exhibitions? Pick up an activity sheet and get a special sticker if you do!
Families will also have the chance to enter a grand prize draw competition to win an Art Fund Family Membership and a bundle of Where’s Wally? goodies.
Wally is the creation of Martin Handford, whose entertaining drawings of crowd scenes first swept the globe in 1987. Since then, the Where’s Wally? books have held a favourite spot on bookstore shelves the world over and have sold over 72 million copies worldwide.
In the new book, Where’s Wally? Double Trouble at the Museum, readers join Wally and his friends for a day at the museum, with over 500 fiendish differences to find!
Alison Bowyer, Executive Director of Kids in Museums, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Walker Books to bring the iconic character of Wally to museums across the UK. 50 brilliant museums will be taking part, including previous winners and this year’s shortlist for our Family Friendly Museum Award. We hope the campaign will inspire families across the country to head to their local museum and join in the search for Wally. Good luck!”
