Donate

We are a charity and all donations help us to make museums great places for children, young people and families.

We want all museums to be accessible and welcoming to all children, young people and families. Our unique nationwide sector support work is invaluable to the museum and heritage sector. In a 2021 survey, over 80% of respondents told us they felt our work was important and relevant to UK museums.

We need your support to continue our vital work over the coming year. Our plans for 2023 include engaging thousands of children and young people with museums through Digital Takeover Day and Takeover Day, continuing to grow the Kids in Museums movement by signing more museums up to our Manifesto, and supporting more museum staff through trusted training and resources.

How you can help us

Make a regular donation

Make a regular donation by becoming a Mammoth Supporter. With the option to make a monthly donation from £5 per month or an annual donation starting at £60, you will help us ensure museums are great places for children, young people and families to visit.

Make a one-off donation

Although we are fortunate to benefit from annual funding from Arts Council England, Kids in Museums still needs to raise at least £60,000 every year to continue our work to make museums across the UK friendly and welcoming for children, young people and families.

It’s quick and simple to support us and all gifts large or small have an impact:

  • £5 funds one young person to be involved in Digital Takeover Day.
  • £10 supports one young person to participate in Takeover Day.
  • £25 makes Takeover Day packs for one museum.
  • £50 enables one family to be undercover judges for the Family Friendly Museum Award.
