Kids in Museums is thrilled to announce that Dan Snow, broadcaster and historian, is our new Patron.
But Patron of Kids in Museums isn’t the only new role Dan has recently taken on. ‘As a new parent, I know only too well how intimidating it can be to do things that seemed pretty normal before kids,’ he says. ‘My sisters and I struggled with the quiet thing when we were kids and we thought the armour gallery in the Wallace Collection made the perfect battlefield. My daughter is already on the path to being as loud and mad as her Dad so hushed galleries might be a struggle. It’s great to be part of a charity that works with museum to make them more welcoming of children – from teenagers to tiny babies. You’re never too young, too old or too cool to visit a museum. They’re full of wonders for all ages. I look forward to supporting Kids in Museums in making the opportunities and insights a museum visit offers available to everyone.’
Dan joins our Patron Mariella Frostrup as part of the Kids in Museums team.
